When we do any type of cleansing is good to make sure afterward that our body did not lose useful sources, only waste. Also during pregnancy and after postpartum is indicated to feed ojas (our body sources/ stamina) to keep in line our immune system. After any operation or recovery, we can also indicate this drink to speed up the process. The effect on dosha is the following: V-, P-, K+. Ingredients:
- 10 almonds activated (overnight and without the skin)
- 1 cup of milk; (type A from a cow, otherwise better oat milk, almond milk, or rice milk )
- 1 big juicy date
- 1 big tablespoon of dry rose petals
- 1/8 teaspoon of cardamom powder
- 2 threads of saffron
- A pinch of black pepper
- 1 tsp of ghee
Directions:
Blend all the ingredients together and cook until gets warm and the cardamon releases its aroma.
Things to note when drinking this Building Ojas Drink:
You can consume this drink 3 to 4 times per week. There is no need to overdo it. If you are facing signs of Kapha imbalance or maybe an excess of mucus, reduce it or stop it. Then it is a sign that we should focus first on increasing digestion (Agni – digestive capacity) and eliminating ama first.
